THE INSIDE TRACK 99X AND All The Hits Q100 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 2007
SALES DEPARTMENT

The Sales Department generates revenue for the stations. The account managers are the liason between the stations and the advertising clients and agencies. They are responsible for increasing revenue from existing clients and for creating revenue from new clients. They do so by providing results for clients using a variety of marketing options including radio, database, internet, event marketing and web solutions.

The Sales Department internship runs for approximately two weeks. The student reports to the Sales Manager. Activities and duties are established by the Manager and may include:

  • Initial meeting with the Director to schedule the program, meet the staff and get an overview of the department
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Observe and assist the account managers in their daily responsibilities
  • Observe and assist the account coordinators in their daily responsibilities
  • Complete reading assignments such as industry trades, periodicals and books
The intern's performance is reviewed following the completion of the department program
