Six Flags has over 34 rides to experience, so the earlier you can get
to the park on Thursday, the better! Some of the parks biggest and
best are open at 6am -- ride them with virtually no waiting as many
times as you want!
As the park normally opens at 10am, and not 5:30am, you may find your
favorite ride not open when you first arrive for The Bert Show's Ditch
Day. Use this guide to plan your morning and make sure you are first
in line for all of your favorite Six Flags rides.
Remember: YOU MUST BE IN THE PARK AT 9am, OR YOU WILL NOT GET IN FOR
FREE! PLAN FOR TRAFFIC, PARKING, AND WALKING TO THE GATES. IN
FAIRNESS TO EVERYONE, SIX FLAGS CANNOT ACCOMODATE GUESTS WHO ARRIVE
EVEN ONE MINUTE LATE!
5:30am: The parking lot opens
5:30am: The Bert Show begins their broadcast from the Promenade Gazebo.
6am: Breakfast is served! Grab some food at Tondee's Tavern, located
in the British section. Be first in line at the USA and GEORGIA sections of
the park, as Six Flags opens the Georgia Scorcher, one of the
Southeast's tallest and fastest stand-up roller coasters, and GOLIATH,
the huge, steel, scary monster that you see from I-20. Not into
coasters? The Log Jamboree and Shake, Rattle, and Roll will be
accepting more timid passengers.
7am: Family Fun begins when Bugs Bunny World opens it's doors. Enjoy
14 rides and attractions, including Santa Maria, Little Aviator,
Convoy Grande, Carrott Carnival, and Swing Seville. Monster
Plantation in the French section and Wile E. Coyote Canyon Blaster in
the Spanish section also opening now!
Also starting at 7am, you can upgrade your FREE admission ticket to an
annual pass for only $34.99. Enjoy the park free today, and at a
great discount for the rest of the season!!!
7:30am: Make sure you are back at the Bert Show broadcast location,
because it's time for Bert to pay off his NCAA Tournament bet! He'll
kiss 71 year old Miss Frieda for 60-seconds! Not a ride, definitely a
thrill!!!
8am: More thrills! Take a spin on the park's 1st roller coaster -
the Dahlonega Mine Train - or thrill to the drops of Acrophobia. The
Georgia Cyclone will also be open, if you have the nerves of steel to
enjoy this wooden roller coaster!
9am: The parks begins to fully open, so you can enjoy the rest of
your FREE DITCH DAY at Six Flags. Be first in line for the rest of
the parks great rides --
