| I click the Listen Live links on AllTheHitsQ100.com but nothing happens. Or The AllTheHitsQ100.com player window starts to load but there are big black unloaded chunks and it doesn't finish loading. Or the player then says "Connection closed" or says something like the link is probably out of date. |
| You have pop-up blocking software installed on your computer or a firewall that's preventing the All The Hits Q100 pop-up player from launching. Try one of these tricks.
- Sometimes hitting the F5 key will help if the player gets stuck for more than 30 seconds. If you have to do that everytime or that doesn't help proceed below:
FOR POP-UP BLOCKERS:
- Add the following domains to your pop-up blocker allow list: AllTheHitsQ100.com and Streamaudio.com.
- Hold the Ctrl key down as you click the Listen Live link. Most blockers will allow you to bypass their function this way.
- Disable your pop-up blocker. At least long enough to launch the AllTheHitsQ100.com player just to see if that's the problem.
- If you use Internet Explorer, the security setting on your browser maybe set to the highest level. Try changing the setting to medium from your browser's menu bar by clicking > TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > SECURITY tab > In the "Security level for this zone" section, move the Slider Control to medium. Close your browser and restart it.
FOR FIREWALLS:
- Change your Windows Media Player options to use HTTP only. Do so from the main AllTheHitsQ100.com player by right-clicking the little black media player window (mid, right under the Jock picture) > OPTIONS > NETWORK tab > under "Streaming Protocols" uncheck all the boxes except HTTP. Click OK, close and restart your browser.
- If that doesn't help then complete the form below and let us know what kind of firewall you're using. If you can make the changes to the firewall then we might be able to help. If you are at work and your IT staff is willing to help have them contact us for assistance.
- If your pop-up blocker or firewall just won't cooperate then Try the AllTheHitsQ100.com Backup Player. It's compatible with most pop-up blockers and firewalls. You will also find the link to this player in the first paragraph of the Listen Live page.

| I can hear the broadcast fine but it starts and stops a lot and says "Buffering". Or sometimes the sound is distorted off and on. |
| This problem has a myriad of causes, most of which neither you nor we can do anything about such as heavy network traffic somewhere along the internet between us. Normally, it's only temporary and will clear itself up soon. However, if it continues for more than a couple of hours there are a few things to try:
- If you are on a dial-up connection you may not have enough bandwidth to listen and surf at the same time. Increasing the amount of time the player buffers the stream may help. 15-30 seconds usually does the trick. Do so from the main AllTheHitsQ100.com player by right-clicking the little black media player window (right, center) > OPTIONS > PERFORMANCE tab > under "Network Buffering" change the setting from "Default" to "Buffer" and try 15 seconds to start. Click OK, close and restart your browser. If you still get some buffering then change this setting to a maximum of 30 seconds.
- If you have broadband or some form of high speed connection increasing the buffer can also help during periods of high network traffic. Use the same instructions as above.
- If the buffering setting don't seem to help then another cause may be that the temporary files your browser uses have completely filled its allotted memory size. Deleting the temporary files or increasing the memory size will take care of this. For Internet Explorer do this from the menu bar by clicking TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > GENERAL tab > under "Temporary Internet Files" click "Delete Files". If you want to increase the memory size click "Settings". Click OK, close and restart your browser.

| Do you HAVE to have the Windows Media Player to listen? I have the XYZ player and wanna use that one. Or I just flat-out don't want to use Microsoft. |
| Not neccessarily. We selected the Windows Media Player because a very large majority of our listeners will be able to listen to our live broadcast with no additional downloads, software installations or player upgrades...the latest and greatest Windows Media Player is NOT required. It will also work with some other players and internet appliances.
- Mac users can listen by downloading and installing the Windows Media Player for OS 8.1 or higher here
- Linux users can listen by downloading and installing the Free 'mplayer' here. Complete the form below and request the current command line for 'mplayer'.
- If you have another player or internet appliance you want to use and know it is compatible with Windows Media complete the form below, tell us what player/appliance and what kind of link it requires. Or just send us the URL of their web site and we'll figure it out for you.
- If your prefered player doesn't support Windows Media we appolize for not supporting it. Unfortunately, due to the high cost of streaming our broadcast on the Internet these days we can only supply one format. Hopefully, either we will be able to provide greater options in the future or your player will support the Windows Media format in the future.

| Everytime I try to listen I get that pesky registration form! |
| You should only get the registration form once. At your option, you can complete it or click the "Decline" button. Registering does NOT put you on a mailing list nor will your information be traded or sold. It is only used internally to get a demographic idea of what type of people are listening. If you are getting the registration form each time you start the player you have your internet security set to its highest level or you have cookies turned off. If you want to leave it that way then simply click the "Decline" button.

| None of this helped me! |
| Complete the form below and please attempt to explain as many details as to what's going on as you can. Also let us know what you've tried from this FAQ to get it to work if anything. Just saying, "It don't work!" doesn't help us help you much at all. One of our support staff will get back to you as quickly as possible during regular business hours...usually within an hour or less. Overnight, weekends and holidays may take longer. But we do check our email fairly often during those times as well. We're here, willing and able to help you!
